Gerety joins the executive team to spearhead global commercial operations, leveraging a distinguished track record of accelerating institutional growth and navigating complex corporate transitions.
Gerety’s appointment comes at a pivotal inflection point for Turbett Surgical as it scales from an angel-backed, regionally focused company to a private equity-funded, global company. Mr. Gerety most recently served as CCO at Solmetex, LLC, where his leadership was defined by rapid market expansion and the successful sale of the business.
The appointment reunites Gerety with Kevin Danahy, President and CEO of Turbett Surgical. Danahy originally recruited Gerety to Solmetex six years ago as VP of Marketing and Sales, a move that set the stage for years of unprecedented organizational and commercial growth.

Gerety is recognized for his unique ability to scale medical technology companies with exceptional speed. Prior to Solmetex, Gerety held senior Marketing and Sales positions at Boston Scientific, Smiths Medical, and Akili Interactive. Most notably he served as VP, Marketing at Sirtex Medical, Inc., as they transitioned through a significant acquisition. During his tenure at private equity-backed Solmetex, he earned a reputation for operational excellence, culminating in his pivotal role leading the company through a significant secondary transaction and the acquisition and integration of three adjacent organizations in his role as CCO. His expertise lies in identifying market inflections and building the commercial infrastructure necessary to capture them.
At Turbett Surgical, Gerety will oversee the integration of sales, marketing, and customer success, applying his “high-velocity” growth model to the company’s suite of sterile processing solutions.
