San Diego Contractor Network Brings Industry Leaders Together

San Diego Construction and Business Leaders to Gather April 23 for Strategic Industry Collaboration

San Diego, CA (April 20, 2026)— The San Diego Contractor Network (SDCN) will host a collaborative business development event on April 23, bringing together contractors, business owners, and industry professionals alongside two established organizations focused on leadership and economic opportunity: the National Hispanic Construction Alliance (NHCA) and Black Entrepreneurs, Leaders & Learners (BELL).

The event represents a coordinated effort to create a structured environment where professionals across construction, trades, and business services can engage in meaningful conversations centered on growth, operations, and long-term relationships.

“This wasn’t about putting together another networking event,” said Anthony Nicholas, Founder of SDCN. “It was about bringing the right people into the same room,  people who are actually building businesses, solving problems, and willing to share what’s working.”

Over the past year, SDCN has established a consistent presence in San Diego through in-person gatherings designed to prioritize participation over presentation. That same approach carries into this collaboration, with NHCA and BELL contributing additional perspective, reach, and community alignment.

The National Hispanic Construction Alliance (NHCA) focuses on advancing Hispanic professionals in construction through leadership development, chapter growth, and access to real business opportunities,  not only in San Diego, but across their growing national network. “Collaborating with organizations like SDCN and BELL is intentional,” said Nohemi Chavez, President of the NHCA San Diego chapter. “We must broaden our network to incubate and create opportunities.”

Black Entrepreneurs, Leaders & Learners (BELL) is dedicated to expanding access to entrepreneurship, education, and mentorship, with programs supporting technical training and business development across underserved communities.  BELL’s mission is to establish an ecosystem of business services, cultivate technical education, and foster generational wealth to empower Black entrepreneurs, leaders, and learners.

By bringing these organizations together with SDCN, the April 23 event reflects a broader effort to connect professionals across different networks in a way that remains practical, grounded, and focused on real business outcomes.

“What we’ve seen over the past year is that contractors and trade specialists need a place to turn to for camaraderie while they are building their businesses,” Nicholas said. “Everyone there is working toward similar goals and has similar challenges.”

The gathering will take place at Novo Brazil Mission Valley and is expected to draw one of the largest groups to date, upwards of 200 attendees, reflecting steady interest from across San Diego’s construction and trades communities.

While the format remains informal, the intent is structured: create a space where relationships form naturally, information is shared openly, and professionals leave with something tangible – whether that’s a new connection, a different perspective, or a clearer path forward.

“This is about strengthening the construction industry in San Diego,” Nicholas said.
